About Us
We are devoted to showing girls that it is possible to be whatever they want to be “when they grow up.” We want them to dream, believe in themselves, and set their goals higher. After all, who says they can’t be the next CEO changing the world?
Recently, we came across a 2011 UC Davis study which focused on female California business leaders, and the results were surprising. In a society where equality reigns, women still hold only about 1 in 10 of the “highest-paid executive positions and board seats at the top public firms in California- a rate that has improved by just 0.2% annually.” At that rate, it would take more than 100 years to have an equal number of men and women holding top positions. Additionally:
- Percentage of women in the U.S. labor force: 46.3%
- Percentage of women in the management, professional and related occupations: 50.6%
- Percentage of female Fortune 500 corporate offers: 15.4%
- Percentage of female Fortune 500 board seats: 14.8%
- Percentage of female Fortune 500 top earners: 6.7%
- Percentage of female Fortune 500 CEOs: 2.4%
We can do better
We want change. On our site, you will find clothing items which proudly display goals such as: “Future Doctor” or “Future CEO,” just for the special girl in your life. Our girls will change the world one at the time. What is your daughter, niece, or sister capable of? We know, but they need to believe.
